# Connecting Social Media Accounts

Connect all your social media accounts to enable automatic cross-posting.

## Why Connect Accounts?

## Supported Platforms

- **YouTube**
- **TikTok**
- **Instagram**
- **Facebook**
- **Threads** (optional)
- **LinkedIn** (optional)

## How to Connect Accounts

### Step 1: Navigate to Accounts

1. Go to **"Accounts"** tab in left sidebar
2. Or click **"Connect Accounts"** from dashboard

### Step 2: Connect Each Platform

For each platform:

1. Click **"Connect [Platform]"**
2. You'll be redirected to platform login
3. Authorize Syllaby to access your account
4. Grant necessary permissions:
 - **Post videos**
 - **Manage content**
 - **View analytics** (optional)

### Step 3: Verify Connection

- Check that platform shows as "Connected"
- Green checkmark indicates success
- You can disconnect anytime

## Platform-Specific Setup

### YouTube

**Required Permissions**:
- Upload videos
- Manage videos
- View channel analytics

**Additional Setup**:
- Verify your YouTube channel
- Set default upload settings
- Configure monetization (if eligible)

### TikTok

**Required Permissions**:
- Upload videos
- Manage content

**Note**: TikTok requires app authentication. Follow on-screen instructions.

### Instagram

**Required Permissions**:
- Post to Instagram
- Manage content

**Note**: Instagram requires Business or Creator account for API access.

### Facebook

**Required Permissions**:
- Post to Facebook
- Manage pages (if using pages)

**Setup Options**:
- Personal profile
- Facebook Page
- Both (recommended)

- Maximum reach with one video
- Test what works on each platform
- Diversify your traffic sources

### 2. Platform-Specific Optimization
- **YouTube**: Longer content, SEO-focused
- **TikTok**: Short, hook-focused

- **Facebook**: Community-focused

### 3. Scheduling
- Use optimal posting times per platform
- Schedule in advance
- Maintain consistency

## Managing Connected Accounts

### View Connected Accounts
- Go to **"Accounts"** section
- See all connected platforms
- View connection status

### Disconnect Account
1. Go to **"Accounts"**
2. Click **"Disconnect"** next to platform
3. Confirm disconnection
4. Can reconnect anytime

### Reconnect Account
- If connection expires
- Click **"Reconnect"**
- Re-authorize access
- Usually happens automatically

## Troubleshooting

### Connection Issues

**Problem**: Can't connect account 
**Solution**: 
- Clear browser cache
- Try different browser
- Check platform permissions
- Contact support if persists

**Problem**: Connection expired 
**Solution**:
- Reconnect account
- Re-authorize permissions
- Usually automatic

**Problem**: Videos not posting 
**Solution**:
- Check account connection status
- Verify permissions granted
